I want to say thank you for welcoming me with open arms into this outstanding community! I consider myself incredibly blessed to get the opportunity to work alongside and serve such a wonderful group of women.

I was first introduced to the Healing Passages community during the summer of 2015 while completing a preceptorship with Dr. Kari Ward. I have always felt very passionate about physiological birth and informed consent but I did not truly grasp the significance of these two areas until I found this community.

I grew up in charming small town Iowa and absolutely love everything about quaint Iowa farm life. I always wanted to pursue a career in nursing, and in 2009 I graduated from Ellsworth Community College with my Associate Degree in Nursing. My nursing journey has brought me from long-term care to medical-telemetry and finally to labor and delivery in 2011 where I truly found my home.

In 2015, I graduated from Walden University with a Master’s in Nursing Education and obtained my Inpatient Obstetric Nursing Certification in 2016. I joined the Healing Passages team as a Registered Nurse in the fall of 2016 and am forever grateful for all of the nurturing and knowledge that has been graciously shared with me throughout my journey.

In my free time I enjoy attending concerts, spending time with family and friends, reading, playing softball, and spending quality time with my Basset Hound children. While my journey has not always gone as planned, I firmly believe that we are intentionally placed in each other’s lives. I look forward to serving you and your family and thank you for allowing me to be part of your story.
